Military Divorces: The Differences Between Civilian and Military Divorces

November 6, 2012 is Election Day. Finally. However, many families have been affected (and continue to be affected) by the decade long war, regardless of who is elected. There are so many ways in which these families are affected, but many people are unaware of how military service impacts a family and children when there is a divorce.  In the November, 2012 issue of Los Angeles Lawyers Magazine, my associate, Rita Azizi, and I had the honor of writing the feature article titled Families at War, which includes an MCLE test.  You will find the complexities with these proceedings due to the complex interplay between federal and state laws.
