Paternity
A child has a right to support regardless of whether his parents were married. Similarly, an unmarried father has a right to have regular visits with his child.
A paternity case, often referred to as an action to establish a parental relationship, involves issues of custody, visitation and child support:
Child Custody and Visitation — legal and physical custody should be addressed in a specific manner. A sample parenting plan may assist in considering what is in your child’s best interest.
Child Support — child support is based upon a statutory formula. The factors that are considered by the formula may be great dispute.
